If I order a garment and it does not fit can I return it?
Yes. We will accept all returns with a return authorization. This is required so we know what is being returned and we are then able to track the return. Shipping will be the responsibility of the one who has made the error. If we shipped the wrong item we will pay for shipping.
What is the difference between flame resistant and flame retardant?
A "Flame Retardent" chemical is used to treat 100% Cotton and Cotton blend fabrics making them "Flame Resistant". Arimid fabrics like Nomex and Kermel are inherently flame resistant meaning that the fabric will not continue to burn once removed from the ignition source.
What standards should I be looking for in FR clothing?
All FR garments sold in the US or Canada should meet NFPA 2112 and/or CGSB 155.20 and should have a hang tag in the back of the neck stating what standards the garment meets. If there is no tag, the garment fails to meet the any standards and caution should be taken when considering your purchase.
How long should FR clothing last in regular wear?
Length of wear is totally dependant on the fabric and application of the wearer. Under normal use 100% cotton will usually last 6 months, Cotton blends will last an additional 35 - 50% longer and the Aramid fabrics anywhere from 1 - 2 years.
How do I look after my garments?
All of our product may be home laundered, commercially washed or dry cleaned. When home laundering they should be washed at a temperature not exceeding 140 degrees F. Wash using detergents that do not contain any bleaches or softeners. Dry at moderate to low heat until damp then remove and hang to dry. If minor repairs are required they should be made using like materials and Nomex thread to retain the integrity of the garment.
Do you accept custom orders and do you have minimum orders?
We will attempt to fill any customer requirement. We have the capability to do special orders and stocking programs of special garments if the usage is justified. There may be additional charges dependant on the request, however, we will make every effort to meet your needs at a reasonable cost. Delivery times will be extended based on manufacturing cycles.
